GIVE AWAY AND YES, I SEW ON FABRIC THAT IS NOT PINK

This is Dawn Heese's new book, and she is giving one away!!! Check out her blog. She is a fellow Kansas City Star author....and we have the same editor, so we are sort of related!
Now, for those of you who don't think I sew on anything but PINK, here is an example of beautiful fabric by Jo Morton. I love her stuff!!!
I have decided that I sew mostly with pink and pastels in the Spring and Summer. Then come Fall and Winter, I sew with darks and REDS.
We have beautiful Summer and Fall in Rexburg, but we have AWFUL winter and mostly cold Spring...so I have two sewing personalities. When the snow starts to melt, I want to sew with happy bright or pastel colors.
I have two blogs that are not quilting/sewing blogs that I love to visit....especially A beach cottage....I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE a beach cottage. I know her life is not perfect, but it looks perfect from blog land to me!!! The other is Daisy Cottage....it is one of the most cheerful places in blog land...probably because she has such cheerful colors posted....I am going on a "color hunt." I am taking my camera and finding things that have great colors to put on my blog.

I have different quilting personalities with each season too. Light and shabby in the spring and summer, and I love all of the Civil War fabrics for fall and winter. They each evoke different wonderful cozy feelings. x

My mom (Noodle) also loves Daisy Cottage! I looked over there after you recommended her blog, and you were right, she does have a lot of color! It felt like summer just looking at her pictures!
My camera is a Canon A6 20. We've had it for a few years, paid a few hundred for it, and we love it! It's small and very user friendly, and has lots of features that are cool that I never use cause I don't know how. Although I love it, I must admit that my heart is set on someday getting the Nikon D80 like Camille has! Her pictures are always so clear and bright.
If you ever want to actually use the blue garage for photos I am sure Cally would let you! Just let me know and I'll get you two in contact. You could make it a summer trip to the Ross Park pool/ take pictures day!

Just from the cover I can tell it will be fantastic! And onto the wishlist it goes. Gosh there is a lot of stuff on there!

Can you believe market is right around the corner? Looks like I'll be partying with you soon! And no giggle parties, I've heard about you... ;-)

I love your Jo Morton quilt! And I love the two blogs you mentioned as well. My favorite place is the beach, but I live in what usually seems like the Sahara desert!
